Welcome to the Pacific Economic Development Agency

The Pacific EDA provides independent analysis of policies and programmes that affect the quality of life for Pacific peoples. Its focus is to highlight the opportunities as well as the obstacles facing Pacific peoples. These challenges have a bearing on the social and economic development targets for the wider community in New Zealand and the Pacific.

The Pacific EDA supports the general development aims of key partners such as the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs, Pacific Business Trust, Pacific Island Chamber of Commerce, NZ-Pacific Business Council, Regional and Local Governments, Pacific based organisations and Pacific advisory bodies to Local Governments.

These partnerships will help to achieve three national goals:

    1.  Economic Transformation

    2.  Raising Regional Capability

    3.  Enhancing National Identity
