Showcasing our Pacific Partnerships at three signature Events - Pacific Business Conference & Market Expo: 9-10 December 2009, Auckland - Pacific Business Village at World Expo: August 2010, Shanghai - Pacific Business Festival at Rugby World Cup: September/October 2011, Auckland
1. Pacific Business Conference & Market Expo
Auckland is the biggest Polynesian city in the world and a key hub for Oceania. Pacific businesses in New Zealand, based mainly in Auckland, are developing a niche that offers good growth potential in the future. Auckland is well positioned to take advantage of its capital value – both in terms of location and as a leader for Pacific partnerships. The global recession makes it more challenging for Pacific businesses to compete with the mainstream markets, yet opportunities exist for growing the business relationship and supporting wider aims for sustainable economic development.
2. Pacific Business Village, World Expo, Shanghai
World Expo 2010, Shanghai, August 2010
The Pacific Business Village and Showcase will run in the first week of August 2010, Shanghai, in the New Zealand Pavilion. Details of arrangements are currently under discussion.
3. Pacific Village Business Festival ‐ RWC 2011
Linking with the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Auckland Coinciding with the RWC in Sept/Oct 2011, a Pacific Village Business Festival is planned in Auckland involving several Pacific Villages.
